Long About (min 5 paragraphs):

Madison Bustamante is a born and bred California girl who has moved to New York to follow her dreams of being a film and television actress. While she hopes to move back to California one day, she loves being at NYU, currently studying drama at TISCH School of the Arts, minoring in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Her training began when she auditioned for Orange County School of the Arts in the ninth grade, and was accepted into the musical theater conservatory. Having no previous performance training, over the next four years Madison was transformed from a previously sports-loving high schooler, to a young actress who knew the only place she belonged was on the stage.

Her education allowed her to study musical theater dance, tap, ballet, and jazz, and performed in a myriad of shows, for example School of Rock, The Addams Family, Avenue Q, as well as the high school premier of Ryan Scott Oliver’s Jasper in Deadland as Ammut. Being at a performing arts high school, there was a constant push to balance one’s artistry, social life, and education, often remaining at school from 8AM to 10PM. She was in school until 5PM and then continued to have rehearsals from 6PM to 10PM, a hectic lifestyle she found comfort in. She was thankful to have such rigorous, and in-depth training from an early age that instilled in her a sense of determination and perseverance.

When she was not at rehearsals from 6PM to 10PM, she was at Church, practicing with her youth ministry band as lead vocalist. Madison had taken vocal and piano lessons from an early age, so her love for music had always been known. She auditioned for the teen band at her local church and began to perform at bi-annual retreats and small performances throughout the year. She was with this band during junior and senior year of high school.

Her journey at NYU started at New Studio on Broadway, the drama department’s musical theater concentrated BFA track, but she is now studying practical aesthetics at the Atlantic Studio. Aside from her busy schedule as a college student, Madison finds the time to juggle her job and social life. As well as, occasionally working her a fan coordination company called, 1iota. She has primarily worked on live sets, such as The Kelly Clarkson Show, The View, and the VMAs.

Madison is excited for life after graduation when she gets to exercise all of the learned knowledge she as acquired from her years of theatrical, performance, and acting training. She aspires to be a bi-costal actress, working from both Los Angeles and New York City. Growing up, she was mesmerized by various shows, such as The Office, American Horror Story, and most recently, Game of Thrones. Her goals, as an actress, is to provide the same sense of escape for her audience, as these shows did for her. She also hopes to represent change in this industry by adding to the diversification of the screen. As a multiracial actress, she wants to be a symbol of power in decolonizing the film and television industry.
